Until now, my only real experience with blogging has been my Instagram feed. I feel that social media and other web presences should be approached with an intentional purpose, rather than random, unconnected posts. Because the Instagram displays images in rows of three, I decided to post three photos at a time, so my feed (when viewed in thumbnail format), appears as a stack of triptychs. Sometimes a three panel panorama, other times simply three related images, this visual blog chronicles everything that catches my eye in my day to day life. You can see it here, but it looks a lot better on an iPhone, it's intended viewing device.
This blog will include iPhone photos, as well as images from every other camera I've ever used. I'm going to start with one of my most recent images. It's a photo of Voice Monet, who I first shot in Toronto seven years ago. Last week I went to a conference held by the Society of Photographic Education in New Orleans. Not only was the conference amazing, but I got to reconnect with Voice in her home town. She took my girlfriend and I to the Audubon Park, where we caught the sun setting over the Mississippi River and, took a few photos.
